Who am I and why read this blog?

I’ve spent the last 20 years studying marketing and working for some of the world’s largest brands. Over that time the industry has become more fragmented, technical and harder to understand. I’m writing this blog to help simplify some of the more complicated ideas using real world examples which I’ve successfully (and sometimes unsuccessfully) deployed.

The blog covers all elements of marketing from simple tactical campaign tests and ideas through to marketing strategy. I’m particularly interested in getting personalisation working in complicated businesses, building effective teams, agile delivery of campaigns and understanding marketing technology.
